Stress Management Workshop

Society for Physics and Astronomy, the Counseling and Wellness Center, and the GWSC will be hosting a stress management workshop. This is an open discussion forum. Students will have the opportunity to learn techniques to battle and manage stress in school and academia.

CUNY Women in Science & Engineering Conference

The CUNY WISE conference will be held in April and provides and opportunity for CUNY Women in STEM to present research, network and contribute there ideas with other individuals within the community. There will be poster presentations given by graduate and undergraduate students, round table discussion on the STEM pipeline and retention of women at CUNY and beyond, in addition to podium presentations given by professors. Anthropology 2nd Annual Conference

Giving Voice to Voices:

This conference will include adjunct presentations, a women in science panel, Zines, and a town hall forum for students to openly discuss issues with the department.  There will be a few keynote speakers. This event is open to everyone and is a collaborative effort between the anthropology and women in science club at hunter.

The Graduate Women in Science New York City metro chapter in collaboration with Rockefeller university and Wikipedia will be hosting an event. The wikipedia Edit-A-Thon, is an a effort to contribute wikipedia entries about Women in STEM. This is an open and free event, childcare is also provided for those who require it! NY Academy of Sciences Presents: "Dreaming: A gate way to the unconscious"

What can dreaming tell us about the subconscious? Why are some dreams etched in our memory & others forgotten? What can we infer about our sense of selves from our dreams? A panel of psychologist will examine dreams from a variety of perspectives to answer these questions & more!
